This is my car...
cooling, tramp style (the gimp isnt me)
well, it was my car until last week. Then this happened when I went over a speedbump (its an engine mount)
so the sensible person I hide in my left testicle came out and made me put a set of 50mm drop weitec 318 saloon springs in, which equates to about 70/80 mm in a 325 touring. Its on Boge rear shocks and mtech fronts. Drives pretty well and now I dont have to worry about losing sumps and things when I drive over pebbles. It looks gay though, up on stilts.
This is the original, cut, and current suspension.
Wheels are Oz Superleggera's, magnesium alloy uber lightweight jobbies, but they're only temporary until I get some banded steels on it. I swapped them for the knackered old worthless borbets, woohoo! There's one born every minute.
I sprayed it myself with rattle cans. It was a 316 when i got it. I put the 325 lump in and its been no end of trouble ever since.
It currently has a head thats on its way out, overheats a lot and is surviving on kseal and hope.
Driftwest should be the end of it, if I dont go home on a tow truck I will consider I have failed myself and not abused it enough.
Either way, after dw it will be having an e36 engine put in which will hopefully stand up to a bit more abuse than this lump of shit.
Oh and its still running the 316 diff (4.2:1) so it accelerates like a smackhead chasing a tenner. And still achieves a gps verified 131 top speed.
As a comparison, this is it against a 325 touring with a normal diff. And I was having issues with 2nd gear as I had no clutch fluid in the car.
